Terms & Conditions
Effective date: August 29, 2026
Who you are contracting with
Family Playbook is owned and operated by Israel Johnson, an individual sole proprietor trading as “Family Playbook” (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions form an agreement between you and Israel Johnson.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Family Playbook, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Family Playbook. If you are under 18, you may use the service only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who has authorized your participation.
User accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
Appropriate use of the platform
You agree to use Family Playbook only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects the privacy and dignity of other members. You may not use the platform to harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, defraud, or mislead others; to distribute harmful or illegal content; or to interfere with the operation of the service.
Member invitations
You may invite people to join a Playbook by email, SMS, or shareable invitation link. You represent that you have a personal relationship or appropriate basis for inviting each person and that you will not send unsolicited invitations. Each Playbook owner or administrator may manage membership and remove members.
User responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you create, upload, or share within Family Playbook. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not violate the rights of others.
Privacy
Your use of Family Playbook is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Please review it carefully.
Intellectual property
Family Playbook and its contents, features, and functionality are owned by us and our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create, and you grant us a limited license to host and display it solely for the purpose of operating the service.
Availability and modification of the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Family Playbook or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
Disclaimers
Family Playbook is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Family Playbook.
Orders and payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. For most purchases, Stripe manages the transaction end-to-end — including sales tax/VAT calculation, collection and remittance, fraud protection, and dispute handling.
Where Stripe manages the transaction, your bank or card statement may show LINK.COM* Family Playbook as the descriptor, and Stripe provides transaction-level customer support, receipts, and refund processing. Your use of the service remains governed by these terms.
Subscription and payment terms
Family Playbook Starter costs $9.99 per month in US dollars and includes up to 10 people in a Playbook. Prices are shown on our Pricing page. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and collected at checkout based on your location.
New Starter subscriptions include a free 30-day trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically renews each month and your payment method is charged the then-current fee until you cancel.
Only the Playbook’s billing owner is charged. Membership is always free for the people they invite.
You may cancel at any time from Billing & Plan inside the app or through the secure billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then and nothing your people created is deleted.
We may change subscription prices. We will give you reasonable advance notice before a change applies to your renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Refund policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Family Playbook for material breach of these terms, non-payment of subscription fees, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may also delete your account or leave a Playbook at any time.
SMS terms
Family Playbook may send transactional or account-related SMS communications associated with the service, such as verification codes, invitations, and account notices.
Message frequency varies depending on your use of the service and the notifications you or your Playbook send.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages.
Reply HELP for help.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the service or by email. Your continued use of Family Playbook after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
